Welcome to My World!

Hey everyone! I'm so excited to finally launch this blog – it feels like I've been talking about it forever! I'm Christian Mondy, and while I love writing all kinds of stories, I've really fallen head over heels for the worlds of romance and fantasy. Think epic battles with magic swirling through the air, but also those heart-pounding moments of love and happiness that make life worth living.

I've always had a wild imagination, dreaming up fantastical worlds ever since I first saw Lord of the Rings. (Seriously, who doesn't love a good hobbit adventure?) But it wasn't until recently that I finally took the plunge and started putting those ideas down on paper. This blog is my way of inviting you behind the scenes to see how those stories come to life, from the first spark of inspiration to the final page.

Between juggling dental school (yup, I'm going to be a dentist!), working as a dental assistant, and being a husband and dad, life can get pretty hectic. But my amazing wife and kids are my biggest cheerleaders (and sometimes my toughest critics!), and they inspire me every single day. Even the people I meet at work spark ideas – you never know where inspiration might strike!

Here's what you can expect from this little corner of the internet:

• Behind-the-scenes peeks at my writing process:  Ever wonder how a story goes from a random idea to a full-fledged novel? I'll be sharing my journey, the good, the bad, and the downright goofy.

• A glimpse into my life:  Beyond writing, I'm a pretty normal guy who loves spending time with my family, geeking out over video games, and maybe occasionally setting things on fire in the kitchen (just kidding... mostly).

• Answers to your burning questions:  Got something you've always wanted to ask an author? Fire away! I'm an open book (pun intended!).
